How we handle your information

What we collect when you contact us or register for a course, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Effective July 28, 2026.

What this policy covers

The Atlantic Implant Institute ("the Institute", "we", "us") operates theatlanticimplantinstitute.com. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information you give us

The site itself has no account system and no forms. When you choose to contact us by email or phone — about a course, registration, team seats, or a Full Implant Experience application — we receive the contact information you provide, such as:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Anything you include in your message, such as your practice name or experience level

Course registration and payments

Course registration and tuition payment are handled by our online store, powered by Shopify. When you register, your billing and payment details are collected and processed by Shopify under its own privacy policy — the Institute does not receive or store your card numbers. We receive the registration details we need to run the course: who is attending, which course, and how to reach you.

If you arrange tuition financing through Proceed Finance, your application is made directly with them under their own privacy policy.

Usage data and cookies

Like most websites, we collect information about how the site is accessed and used: your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, and time spent on pages. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service offered by Google, to understand site traffic. Google uses cookies to collect this data and may share it with other Google services as described in its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and you can instruct your browser to refuse cookies entirely — the site remains fully readable without them.

How we use your information

We use the information described above for the ordinary operations of an education business: answering your questions, running the courses you register for, keeping you informed of changes to those courses, and understanding how the site is used so we can improve it. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Answer your questions and follow up on course and registration inquiries
  • Run the courses you register for, including pre-course communication
  • Notify you about changes to a course you are registered for
  • Understand how the site is used so we can improve it
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues

What we never do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. The contact details you provide when asking about a course or registering are used to run the Institute and its courses — they are not a product, a list, or an asset we trade.

Service providers

We use a small number of third-party companies to operate the site and the Institute — website hosting, the Shopify store, and Google Analytics. These providers have access to personal information only as needed to perform their work on our behalf and are obligated not to use it for any other purpose.

Where your data is processed

The Institute is based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and your information is processed in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

When we may disclose information

There are a small number of situations where the law, or the safety of others, may require us to share personal information without asking first. We may disclose your personal information in the good-faith belief that doing so is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation
  • Protect and defend the rights or property of the Institute
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the site
  • Protect the personal safety of site users or the public
  • Protect against legal liability

Security

We use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but the site is served over HTTPS, and payment details never touch our systems.

Links to other sites

The site links to services we do not operate, including our Shopify store, Proceed Finance, Instagram, and Facebook. If you follow a third-party link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.

Children's privacy

Our courses and this site are for practicing dental professionals. We do not address anyone under the age of 18 and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the effective date above updated to match. If a change is significant, we will note it prominently on the site.

Questions about this policy?

If anything in this policy is unclear — what we collect, how long we keep it, or how to have your information corrected or removed — reach the Atlantic Implant Institute directly by email, phone, or mail and we will give you a straight answer.
